Was Gargamel always scaring them when you were trying to draw? Y’know, I actually felt bad for Gargamel. He used to be a part of the kingdom, then he’s exiled. He had to hunt these little blue creatures for food and his only companion is his cat. Poor Gargamel.
I hate smurfs so that’s about all they’re good for.
Truggs just wanna have fun
Yeah Truggs just wanna have fun
Fun, Truggs, wanna have fun, Truggs, wanna have…
That’s all they really want
Yeah Truggs just wanna have fun
Why do I foresee this having a behind the back toss of the ball? With running targets, there is no foul line, right? Hate for it to be really difficult.
Red.
Yet again the way you’re drawing your monsters strikes me as alike the ones in “Isabelle”, an old belgian comic strip. I didn’t dare say it before, but seeing that you’re using another belgian bestiary, I could’nt help it…
(Yup, the smurves were created by a Belgian author, Peyo. Hanna and Barbera just bought the rights for the cartoon. If you already knew that, sorry for the repeat)
I can’t find a real good picture of Will’s art in demons and monsters online, but here’s his biography, maybe you’ll understand what I see you have in common…
I’m not familiar with Isabelle, but I do appreciate Peyo’s work. Isabelle truly is a wonderful artist. I can see some similarities in our styles, especially in the simplicity of line and roundness of form. Thanks for sharing this great artist!
The artist’s name is Will, the comic’s heroine is Isabelle. They’re part of my favorite stories, they’re smart, they’re fun and punny. And full of monsters, dangerous or not ^^
That looks like a fun game. I want in! 🙂
As long as you are on the other side of the bowling ball, right?
Right!
Take that! How handy that these “smurfs” run in a triangle.
Yes, very convenient, haha. You can’t imagine how many sketches I had to do to line them up like that, lol!

Gargamel could use some big, scary, red minions!
Bowling is always more interesting when the pins try to evade. Do you call those green guys Smucks?
Very close. They are Strumpfs. Tune in on Friday and you’ll see more of them. Oh, and thanks for stopping by and commenting, I really appreciate it!
Bullies with bad breath and a mean gutter ball.
What else have they got to do? You find your perks where you can get ’em in the underworld.
Hey! That looks like my Kindersmurf gym classes I teach!
That’s one massively dangerous dodgeball!
Violence against Smurfs = comedy gold. Great toon!
No cartoon characters were hurt during the making of this strip. Well, not too many…
I guess these little guys have little time to SPARE 🙂
Tim, when it comes to puns, you are a kingpin!
Gargamel would be so proud.
Great strip, very funny. 8)
I bet he would! Thanks for the nice comment, Pensador!
Finally someone got the better of those smurfs
I guess I’m working it out of my system. I really never liked them.
Nice! Those little buggers had it coming, lol.
Ain’t THAT the truth, lol!
HA! Even Gargamel didn’t have that much fun with the Smurfs. He could learn a lot from the Trugg’s.
I wonder if he’s somewhere in the background taking notes? Thanks for commenting, Todd!
HAHAHA very good!
I really don’t like be one of this green smurfs
What else are they good for, anyway? Thanks, Pancho!
Thats one heck of a smurfy strike! [blinks]
Smurf’s up and OUT!
Those Strumpfs have been getting too uppity lately anyways. Gotta knock ’em down a bit somehow.
I guess I’m working out some of my fantasies here, because I’ve always wanted to stomp one!
HAHA, The one that got his hat knocked off is my favorite. Can he come live in my wall? 🙂
I’m glad you like it, Carlo! But are you sure you want those little guys keeping you up at night with all their shenanigans?
But do they get up and put themselves back into formation for the next frame? 🙂
They will if they know what’s good for them!
Perhaps a way to make bowling actually exciting, without drinking!
I have a hard enough time hitting the pins when they’re standing still!
That is not easy. Those little guys are so small. It is almost like duckpin bowling. Impressive strike by the Trugg!
It’s all in the swing, Chris!
Geez… they can’t win… If Gargamel isn’t trying to put them in a stew, they’re getting bowled over by Truggz!
These are the larger cousins to that other more famous, more bluer race. Plus, I think they taste a bit less gamey.
I wonder if they are good in stew?
That’s a Trugg favorite!
Strumphs? A highly evolved form of Smurfs, and a whole lot cuter! /me wants plushies! (of everything you create!) <3
Aww, Jande, what a nice thing to say! If I ever make a plushie, I’ll send you one!
Really?! *squeeeee!* <3 <3
It doesn’t look like the pins are enjoying the game though…
I’d say terrified would sum up the overall Strumpf emotive about right now…
Smurf bowling? Papa’s going to be mad!
Papa’s in the next set.
For the Smurfs’ sake, I hope he can’t bowl a perfect game!
It’s like ten miniature Indiana Jones’ in the Bowling Alley of Doom!
Hahaha! Is it bad of me that I would love to play this game myself? 🙂
Naw, George, I made this strip for people just like you and me!
These guys are mean but for some reason I’m OK with that.
They’re not mean, they’re just drawn that way! Ok, maybe they ARE mean.
This game is awesome! It beats regular old bowling!
Moving target bowling… it might catch on!
If you ask me, it’s totally their fault. I mean did you see the formation they were running in.
Those little guys have been asking for it for a LONG time, Josh!
Can he please do that with the smurfs.
Here! Here!
Those guys are not wearing bowling shoes. I’m all about rules today for some reason.
Rules were made to be bowled over, Brian!
I hate smurfs so that’s about all they’re good for.
Truggs just wanna have fun
Yeah Truggs just wanna have fun
Fun, Truggs, wanna have fun, Truggs, wanna have…
That’s all they really want
Yeah Truggs just wanna have fun
Music to my ears, Tony! This is the first comment I’ve ever had that got me wanting to get up and dance!
Don’t hold back Mark. Rock on!!!
Let the good times roll!
Those smurfs need to learn how to run more tactfully!
It’s hard to be tactful when you’re in panic mode!
Why do I foresee this having a behind the back toss of the ball? With running targets, there is no foul line, right? Hate for it to be really difficult.
Red.
My guess is that the rule is – there are no rules!
I really want to play that now. I wonder if I could get a flock of lemmings to cooperate.
Stay clear of cliffs or it will be a short game.

I’m going to have to try to find more of Will’s work to check out. What I’ve seen so far is wonderful! Thanks for letting me know about him!
