Those are some nice monsters! I am kind of convinced that when my eyes are closed, monsters secretly plot against me, heh. Now I have to worry that they’re under the floor, ready to grab unsuspecting victims, so thanks for that.
Those big red monsters are Truggz. You can see their first appearance here: http://www.zombieboycomics.com/2011/11/04/just-dirt-2/ Make sure you keep reading for the next few strips after! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
That is very nice of you to say, George. As one artist to another, I try to make each strip something I would enjoy seeing, even if it wasn’t drawn by me. Of course, I struggle with the more complicated ones (like putting six big monsters in a panel…)
Thanks a lot for saying that. I like to do them, but they are twice as much work as a single strip. If I could I’d make them all bigger! Those big monsters needed more space, lol.
Gorgeous! Just gorgeous! I know you spent a ton of time on this one, the balance is… well… just gorgeous! Six Truggz, idyllic snow scene, and Gorr playing off to get sympathy points. Man I don’t know how you do it. <3
You know, Jande, you are right on the mark. This strip was a doozy, it was like chipping away at a block of stone. I had to take it in little doses, so I wasn’t entirely overwhelmed. Thanks for noticing the work I put into it. As Brandon Oliver (TWXXD) puts it, it makes the juice worth the squeeze.
I am imagining Muspelheim under the house!
I like that, Carlo! It Ragnaröks!
Ok I must say, you’ve reaaaally outdone yourself with the art on this one! It’s so amazing!
Thanks Sareen! I was cursing myself for drawing all those Truggz in one panel!

awwww, Gorr looks so sad. Love the new header!
He’s playing it off really well, hunh? Glad you like the new header, my tribute to the great Moebius!
The boogie men do exist!
They’re probably underneath your house at this very moment, J.P.!
Now I know where earthquakes come from…. every time a scary red monster bonks his head on the ceiling, the land begins to shake! o.O #WhyNot?
You should be around when they do some underground bowling!
…and when they “pass gas”, volcanoes come to life too-eh?!? [smirk]
Something like that could be very eruptive to domestic life. Never take a Trugg to Taco Bell!
OMG! I see MOEBIUS influence in this head XD I Loved!!!
Yes, Pancho, it is a tribute to the late, great Moebius. You can read about it in my blog post: http://www.zombieboycomics.com/2012/04/09/moebius-and-me/
They’re pretty scary looking monsters!
They’ve got to keep track of their king, you know. At least they’re staying underground!
… so far… >.>
heh heh
They should be okay as long as they are nice to Gorr. Isn’t he their leader?
Gorr’s not worried one bit!
Very nice contrast between the peaceful, cool winter setting and the dark, hellish underworld!
This strip took me forever to finish. Too many Truggz! Thanks for noticing the color, Aidan!
Well, since the truggz are close to the basement, maybe they can do some of the laundry before terrifying everyone!
If King Gorr decrees it, sure!
Waiting around in a cramped space like that must be killer on their backs!
Don’t worry, Tyler, they are built to hunch. It’s in their genes!
Haha, love the truggz! And the new header looks intriguing!
Thanks Marieke! The banner is my Moebius tribute: http://www.zombieboycomics.com/2012/04/09/moebius-and-me/.
When will people learn to listen to Gorr?
Life would be so much better if they did!
What the…. Hell? (Hell-beasts, that is!)
You’ve just encounted a Trugg, Warren. Don’t make any sudden moves.
Man, your comics are transforming into visual sustenance. I just wanna jump into each one and just walk around ogling. 😀

You managed to pull it off lovely, though. I particularly like the one sitting down on the far right.
Oh, btw, be on the lookout for something in your email. 🙂
Actually George, that’s my favorite one too. He’s the one that really wishes he were somewhere else right now, lol.
Poor Gorr, I guess it’s time for another adventure! Love the Moebius header!
Moebius was a big inspiration to me over the years, Josh. I wanted to show my appreciation.
Yay! More monster mayhem!
Bring it on!
Whatever you do, don’t go down in the basement.
Sounds like the premise of a Wes Craven flick.
I think Gorr can take em.
Gorr owns em.
Well they don’t look so scary anyway…haha
Sit in one of their laps and say that!
Those are some big monsters!
Like I always say, these double-sized ones are really nice. The extra space helps make it come alive.
Thanks a lot for saying that. I like to do them, but they are twice as much work as a single strip. If I could I’d make them all bigger! Those big monsters needed more space, lol.
That house has quite the basement!
I’d hate to be the cleaning lady!

The return of the Truggs, YAY!!! Nice contrast between the snow & the dark underground
I wanted to publish this strip before it got too warm here, but that Gorraceous Age sequence got in the way! Thanks for your generous words, Tony!
Very funny LOL
Thanks A.M.! Also, appreciate you stopping by and for leaving comments!
I guess those red monsters would suffer from chronic neck pain. Great art Mark.
They’re naturally hunched. Product of their environment, I’m afraid.
You need to do a children’s book. This is beautiful.
That is a wonderful compliment. Thank you!
I have to agree with Frank on this, this is a beaut!
Appreciate that, Jenn. Thanks for your nice words.
