I had a heck of a time trying to lay this strip out. It’s one of those times when I had the punchline, but had to back up and figure out how to get to it.
Hmm, if you’d made the squeaky toys in the first three panels a lighter purple, as you did in the last panel, it might make it a bit more clear. Just a thought.
I’ve seen a toy shaped like a mailman, but not a human foot! Are you sure it was a toy, lol? Thanks for coming by and commenting, MC. I’m going to have to look around your site, it looks interesting.
That’s why I cannot bear to walk barefoot thru my kids’ rooms. There’s no telling what you’re gonna step in sharp, crunchy, or mushy in there. It’s combat boots all the way. 🙂
Thanks about the color. Really had a heck of a time trying to figure out how to lay this gag out. I ended up just going with the simplest idea, all in one panel.
That’s a sweet image of you Spencey. Thanks for sharing. So when will we start to see some strips about your son? I’m sure you’ll have a LOT of material there…
Ha Great ending, I thought it was squeaky floorboards

I thought he was just getting old and those were his bones squeaking.
That is a distinct possibility. He’s just falling apart at the seems as it is.

Ahh, but if ZB can’t see ’em why should we?
love the colors..or lack of, i guess.
Monochromatic color can be fun. Thanks for the compliment, Colm!
Yeah, the darkness turned out exceptional. I may have to bite your technique for an upcoming comic.
Feel free, George. Can’t wait to see what you come up with….
Nice one – love the drawing
Thanks Brian. Looks like you’re keeping up your regular updates over at Liltoon. Keep up the good work!
Nice comic. Reminds me of a dog I had. She had a squeaky toy shaped like a human foot. Does that mean I stepped on her foot?

KIds and dogs have no concept of keeping a room clean. It stays where it falls.
The layout and color of this one is very nice! An effective way to show the dark.

I’m glad it was “squeak” and not “squish.”
Yeah, especially in Gorr’s room!
Now that’s a good way to make sure the kids stay in bed at night. 🙂
Squeaky toy motion detector alarms. Good idea!
I can very much relate to this every time I try to put my 3 month old son to bed without waking him!

Haha!
I can’t even count the times I have stepped on one of my kids toys. That’s what you get for trying to sneak around in the dark 😉
Squeaky toys are one way kids and dogs get one over on us.
GORR!!!!! He loves toys, eh 😉
He sure does! Did you see that mouthful?
GORR is a great character. You can tell so much about him in just a few drawings.
I think the less said, best said. Hey everybody you need to check out Frank’s 52 Villains series. It’s a hoot!
