Cool idea delivered briliantly. I like the gradients of white blue and yellow in the leaf lake. I can never get that smooth of a transition from blue to yellow.
I just let the background color come through. It’s really just using the gradiant tool and adjusting the transparency. I appreciate the nice words, Mat!
I got that idea the other morning walking my dog, Pooj. I saw this magnolia leaf full of water, and thought it needed a canoe in it, lol. Thanks so much, Vince!

I envy those little guys! Beautiful comic, Mark!
A little spring canoeing would be fun! Thanks, Tim!
It’s a looong way across the leaf. Summer is in the air…
They’re not in any hurry…
Row, row, row your leaf….
Life is bug a dream…
Big bugs in a small pond.
Size matters. A little.
There’s amusement all around us. You just need to look. 😀
And while you’re looking watch where you’re stepping! There might by a recreation park down there!
Just imagine how much fun they’ll have with the collected water in the old tire. It will be like sea fairing!
Here there be sea serpents, lads!
Uh oh, I bet Gorr’s getting thirsty. Watch out!
One lake gone in a gulp!
Yard of a thousand lakes!
Even more when they turn on the sprinklers!
Making the best out of any situation, very cute Mark!
Fun can be found anywhere! Thanks, David!
It’s all about perspective 😉
As in bugs-eye view! Hey Alexander, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
Cool surprise. When you are that small everything is huge!
And snacks! You could eat your way out of an Oreo cookie!
I’d join them, but not even my piggie toe would fit!
It’s the thought that counts, Jynksie!
Small bug in a small lake.
It’s a small world after all!
This really is a great concept, Mark. I didn’t see the punchline coming. Excellent work and, as usual, awesome colors. -v

Sailing sailing over the bounding leaf.
Row row row your boat gently down the leaf
I can paddle canoe??? (can-you)
That is now the official medley for this comic strip, Tony!
