Long ears are useful to a hound not so much for hearing but rather as scent collectors to funnel up smells to their super sensitive noses. They also obviously make great fur lined mufflers for cold mornings
I didn’t realize that, J.P. I always thought they were for better hearing but it makes more sense now.
