I see the synchronized firefly team is going for the gold this year.
They travel light, too!
Zombie Birds are GO! Bring on the puppets.
Eat yer heart out, Gerry Anderson!
Mek, mek, mek… That just got me giggling. I love the sunglasses and head set on him. 🙂
Bill, Zombie Birds and “Mek” have been around since the Gorraceous Age. Check it out here.
My fireflies aren’t that coordinated
You just have to let them know who’s boss!
It must be nice to be the guy who calls the shots!
Somebody has to mission control!
NOT going to comment on panel one… nope, not going to! [wink] …. on another note, this reminds me of my light bright, remember those?!?
For someone who is not commenting, that’s a lot of commenting, Jynksie! I loved Lite Brite when I was a kid! And Etch-a-Sketch!
This is ground control to Major Bird!
The stars look very different today!
Take your protein seeds and put your helmet on
You’ve really made the grade, Guillermo!
Yes, night-time launches are spectacular!
Fireflies don’t launch in daytime hours. It’s in their contract.
Brought you by: The International Fireflies Union
It’s RocketBird! Burnin’ out his fuse up here alone!
I’m not the bug they think I am at home…
That is one small step for Zombie Birds, One giant leap for Fireflies.
Bugmanity rejoices!
And the fireflies lit up the sky like it was the 4th of July!
You many have just inspired another strip, David!
Yay, glad I inspired something!
Going to your site each update is inspiring already, David!
Nature’s Lite brite!
Nature likes to play, too!
I want to be on their next rocket!
You’ll have to check in with Zombie Bird Mission Control.
They can meet up with the Wombanians in space!
Binky is the astronaut in command up there!
I love your firefly series, Mark! I can imagine each little firefly with his own lil’ space suit! Ha!
That would be just too cute, Joseph!
Hey, is that a Lite-Brite?
The Original Lite-Brite!
Looks like something from Daft Punk… or Daft Bug.
They’re pretty showy for a bunch of winged beetles.
To go where no firefly has gone before.
It beats circling around a bug zapper.
and probably safer
Falling into a bug zapper would be like free-falling back into the atmosphere without an ablative heat shield.
Hmmm… If I went into space I wouldn’t have even thought to take an ablative heat shield with me Mark. I guess it’s the minor details that matter
Coming back into Earth’s atmosphere at 25 times the speed of sound has a tendency to melt things.
I’d just take a flameproof parachute to slow me down.
That’s right, keep things simple, Tony!
Aww.. cute! I love the way you find a unique theme and run with it, Mark. Of course I have a special love of fireflies. ;`)
Fireflies are truly unique creatures, something about their cold light fascinates me. A theme is easier to work with, I just try to squeeze as much out of one before I move to something else. This one came to me just before I posted it, lol.
