Totally love the way you can do that, Mark! Your mind works like none other. Do you write down a batch of strips on the same theme at once? Or fly by the seat of your pants near deadline time?
All of the above. Mostly I work in clumps of ideas. Most of these shadow concepts were conceived at the same time, I just tuck them away for when I can get around to them. I don’t like “seat-of-the-pants at deadline” work, I think it suffers for that, so I try to work some time ahead before I post.
When shadows get too big for your boots you’ve got problems. Nothing worse than a smart pants shadow. ZB’s lucky he’s only got one, Cliff Richard had a whole group of them to deal with.
What a wily shadow.
Never turn your back on him!
His dark side is getting the best of him
He put his worst foot forward.
Zombie boy should punch that shadow’s lights out!
Oh wait…
He’ll have to catch him first!
My friend always tells me, “be aware of shadows after dark.” Guess he’s right.
Your friend is wise in the ways of shadows!
He got him good. ๐
And bad, too!
Ha ha. A nice comic to start the day off.
Glad you like it, Dustin! Thanks for stopping by! Your Bunny Maelstrom site looks incredible!
That’s some wicked foot work.
Not fancy, but certainly wicked!
Who knows what evil lurks in the sole, da’ shadow do. Aw, the agony of de feet.
That shadow is awful shallow.
My wife could trip over a stiff breeze, so being tripped by ones own shadow… Believable! [grin]
Uneven sidewalks seem to be my downfall.
What a shady character…
Slim shady.
He he, gotta love a shadow that trolls you.
They will always try to trip you up, that’s for sure.
Gives new meaning to shadow boxing. ๐
And you just know there’s a bruise coming!
For once the shadow takes the lead!! Hopefully this isn’t an everyday thing lol ๐
Zombie Boy is stuck with him, unfortunately.
He should learn some “shadow box”, just in case it happens again. lol Awesome comic. 8
Somehow I don’t think his shadow would fight fair anyway! Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Pensador!
How very mischievous! ………awesome!
Glad you like it, Loki-Lou!
I just want to know what he whistles ๐
He’s just trying to seem inconspicuous. Riiiight.
Teach ’em a lesson ZB and flip off the lights! ๐
That’ll knock the lights out of him.
*Sings*: รขโขยช me… and my shaaadow! รขโขยซ :`D

Never trust a shadow who doesn’t know his place.
They should always do what you do and nothing more!
Haha, love that shadow’s grin! Great strip, Mark! ๐
At least the shadow’s having a good time! Thanks, Marieke!
Reminds me of the classic Spy vs. Spy! Good stuff!
Gruhn, what a super nice compliment! Thanks! Love that stuff!
My shadow always runs faster than me.
Your shadow has better shoes.
Shady….
You can see right through this kind of guy.
Peter Pan’s shadow never abused him! Maybe it’s time for Shadow Boxing!
If you gave your shadow a black eye, no one would notice!
Enter: Sunlight
A choir of angels sing, and the shadow dissolves away…

When your shadow starts asking for a bigger dressing room than you, you know you’re in for trouble.
Now it’s time to shadow box!
I bet that shadow has his own personal boxing trainer.
