The Original Leaf Bandit
Here’s a pic of my pug, Pooj, amidst the last remnants of autumn leafiness. Pooj is the main inspiration behind Zombie Boy’s best friend, Gorr – they share many of the same traits to a fault. His habit of burying his muzzle under the leaves on the trail of a scent got me thinking of taking it one step further, and thus was born a Bandit. OH my lord, he’s adorable. How could you NOT draw a comic about him.
Ahh, Will. I know an animal lover when I read one. Thanks for the kind words. It’s like everyone thinks their baby is the cutest (even if they have traits of a Proboscis monkey). I have to say though I agree with you, Pooj IS adorable!
I loosely based wonderwut after my old basset hound. She was so much fun to watch run, with her big ears flapping around and little stubby legs.
I thought that little guy was based on something you had experience with, it’s just too real. Basset hounds are some of the cutest dogs in the Universe, for sure!

Oh yes he is. And don’t get me started about the cocking of the head when you’re talking bit he does!
That collar is too tight. Pushed all the skin to the top of the dog.

I can definitely see where Gorr came from. Does he too command the Truggs
I’m sure he would, he certainly commands ME.
I didn’t think of Gorr as having a real-life counterpart! Does he get royalties?
